Month in Review: June 2017

Month in Review

Read this month:  6 Books, 1516 Pages

Read this year:   49 Books, 12397 Pages

Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) Into the Fire (Night Prince, #4) Night's Darkest Embrace Backyard Chickens: Beyond the Basics Ready Player One Kato (Stone Warriors, #2)

Looking Back:

I’m trying to be optimistic in that I will finish Kato by the time this post goes live.  I have about 100 pages left and a busy day tomorrow (possibly) so I wanted to write this post up before the first while I have time.  Not as awful as I thought the month of June was going to be.  Of course half of the books there are audiobooks but still, I’m going to call the month a win going by how I’m feeling. I just don’t seem to be picking up books and reading like I used to.

Looking Ahead:

Which means I need to get my head out of my ass and start reading.  I have six review books that I need to and want to read.  Reading has been my escape in the past.  I place I turned to to find a small haven of happiness.  I need to find that again.  I want to find that again.  The first week of July might be a wash for reading.  Husband is going to be laid off for factory shut down and that means he will be home all week…. That usually means I don’t get much reading done as we use his time off for projects that need to be done.  Which is fine.  I also have a kitchen floor that is on hold for being refinished and six sheep that still need to be sheared, and a llama that does not like to be touched.  July might be a great month for audiobooks.  I did download a title I DNFed in print.  The narrator is an actor I enjoy so we will see if the title works better being read to me instead of me reading it.  It has happened in the past so my fingers are crossed.

Happy Reading ~Amy
