Top Ten Tuesday:

Top Ten Tuesday

Welcome to another contribution to the wildly popular Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.  This week they ask us to share lists on the following:

May 31: Beach Reads Week — top ten great beach reads, ten books I plan to read on the beach, ten beach reads for those who don’t like typical ~beach reads~, ten authors who are my go-to for beach reads, etc.

I know we have, or I have done this topic before as a Top Ten list.  So this week I am going to select ten books off my to-read list that I would take with if I were headed to the beach or poolside this summer. Now when I travel I like to take something light and usually a fun steamy romance, so expect a lot of half-naked men on the covers below…

Ten books that would go with me on vacation.

  1. It's All Greek to Me If you are going to be sitting on a Greek (or any Mediterranean) beach this summer why not read about some sexy Greek men in the only contemporary romance on my list. This author has a great sense of humor and a tendency to think up fun outrageous situations to torment her alpha males with.  Perfect for some laughs while your toes are in the sand.
  2. Never Deal with Dragons (Never Deal with Dragons, #1)  This one was recommended on Facebook by one of my favorite authors.  So if I love her books hopefully I’ll enjoy this one too!  Sometimes it is nice to try a new author while you are on the road.
  3. One with You (Crossfire, #5)  Sometimes it is nice to take someone you are familiar with too or finish up a great steamy series!
  4. The Dangers of Dating a Rebound Vampire (Half-Moon Hollow, #3) Another author that is going to make you laugh and would be a lot of fun for when you are in the sun.
  5. Every Demon Has His Day (Demon, #1) This is one that’s been on my list for a while.  The synopsis sound cute and that cover screams fluffy beach read to me.
  6. Immortal Nights (Argeneau, #24)  Okay, this one gets in the suitcase for the yummy cover alone.  That water on the picture probably means there is a shore somewhere in the story.  Right?  Oh who care, Ms. Sands writes great beach read it should be a winner.
  7. Aphrodite's Kiss (Superhero Central #1)  The premise of this one looks cute, should be a nice light read for poolside.
  8. Aden (Vampires in America, #7)  If you are in the mood for a little action this author is great.  I would take this one as it is the only one in the series I’ve yet to read.
  9. Grave Intentions (Grave, #1) Oh, why not.  I love the Charley Davidson series and have been meaning to venture out into other reaper based storylines.
  10. Blood Lust (The Sentinels, #3) If you want something that reads a bit like an action movie, like the Avengers or X-men this series is one to try.  I am actually about 30 pages into this one that releases today and it is pretty great so far!

  1. It’s cool to see someone else that wants to read Every Demon Has Its Day…it’s been on my wishlist for years. There is a sequel to it as well, but I forget the title. I love Molly Harris so I bet that book is great as well.
