Top Ten Tuesday: TBR Spring 2016

Top Ten Tuesday

Welcome to another contribution to the wildly popular blog meme Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.  This week they as us to share lists on:

March 15: Ten Books On My Spring TBR

I am struggling with what direction to take today’s list.  I want to fill it up with all the upcoming spring releases by authors I enjoy, but those probably won’t be the books I will be reading.  I’m still playing catch up and for some of these series/authors I am two or three books behind their current release.  I would just share those books but they have been on the list several times before, like the Winter TBR, Fall TBR, last Summer’s TBR… Yep I that far behind.  So I’ve decided to share the most current release for the series books and leave a note on how many books I need to read first.  So shall we begin…

Ten books I hope to read this spring.

  1. Spells of Blood and Kin This is a review book from Net Galley and looks like it might be similar to A Discovery of Witches which was a favorite of mine.  I’m looking forward to seeing what this one is like.  Hopefully it will be just as good.  The cover is beautiful anyway.
  2. The Library at Mount Char This is a review book I received through the Blogging for Books program and basically I picked it because the choices are always so limited on that site as to books I’m actually interested in reading.  This one does have some favorable reviews from people I follow so I have high hopes for this one being pretty amazing.
  3. One with You (Crossfire, #5) This is the last book in this series and I’m looking forward to closing the book (pun intended) on this series.  The cover is a deviation from the rest in the series which is something I’m not particularly fond of.  Oh well its a library book and not on my personal shelves.
  4. Blood Lust (The Sentinels, #3) Looking forward to book three in this world by Ms. Ivy.  Finger’s crossed it shows up on Net Galley and I get an ARC.  I’ll still read it if I don’t, but it might be a while…
  5. Runaway Vampire (Argeneau, #23) When the hell did this book come out.  February!  I still haven’t read the one before yet.  So I hope to buy and read this one after finishing the previous release.  I don’t feel as bad with this author she usually releases two or three books in this series a year.
  6. Dragon Soul (Black Dragons, #3) Here is another release by an author I enjoy where I have to read two books before I can start this one.  The up side here is all three books will be out when I freaking start the trilogy, so no waiting!
  7. A Sorceress of His Own (The Gifted Ones, #1) Yep you have seen this book on my TBR list before, possibly several times before.  I am going to start this one today.  Yep, today or early next week at the latest…
  8. Fire Touched (Mercy Thompson, #9) This is a book I was turned down for over at Net Galley, picture a sad pouty face bottom lip out and all.  Oh well I’ll borrow it from the library eventually.
  9. The Beast (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #14) I’m really excited about this one I really enjoyed Rhage and Mary’s story,  problem with this one is that I need to read a brick titled The Shadows and one other spin-off book before I can start this one.  I might hold off on buying this one a bit…
  10. Invision (Chronicles of Nick, #7) I have like two or three other Kenyon books to read before I want to start this latest release in the Chronicles of Nick series.  I’m hesitant on this one because I really did not like the last release in this YA series.  The one before that one was amazing though, so lets hope this one is another winner.

There you have my Spring 2016 TBR list.  I hope to read about half of them in the next few months, but won’t sweat it if I don’t.  What are you looking forward to reading this spring?

    1. Unfortunately I had to DNF. Just too gory for me, but I’ve been recommending it to others based on your and one other blogger’s recommendation!
