Monday Morning Check-In: Stress…

Good Monday morning everyone.  I hope you all had a good weekend and was able to check out the eclipse last night.  Our sky was clear so we were able to see it disappear and reemerge a while later. Pretty cool.  Well the theme on my Monday posts lately has been this reading funk I’m in.  I think I’ve figured it out.  My problem is stress, I started noticing other areas of my life were affected as well and figured the loss of interests in reading was probably just another symptom too.   So I am just going to chill and do what I feel like until I feel better.  Hopefully I will still manage to finish a book a week, but if not I will still be posting these Monday check-ins and participating in Top Ten Tuesday.

This week is banned book week and a lot of blogs are posting and holding special events on the topic.  Not being one to plan that far ahead on the blog my contribution to the awareness is going to be reading a banned book. I picked The Diary of Adam and Eve by Mark Twain.  It came up on a Goodreads search of banned books and it seemed like something someone most likely protested at some time.  It is a short read that I ILL borrowed through my library.  The bonus is it will allow me to check off several items on my challenges that I have been neglecting for the past couple months.

On the reading front I am actually enjoying a review book that I was offered through Net Galley.  I have about half of it to finish up today and hopefully will be able to get that review posted for you.  I plan to start and zip through part three of The Returned and get that review posted too.  Next will be the banned book and then I plan to start The 5th Wave.

So what are you reading this week?
