Monday Morning Check-In: Balance

Good Monday morning everyone.  I hope you all had a good and productive weekend.  I was busy with weeding, our garden has gotten away from us…  Reading also made it into my priorities as well, of course it helps when you are reading something you enjoy.  There are a ton of chores that still need to be caught up on; gardening, mowing, sheep still aren’t sheared and now we have some baby peafowl that recently hatched and need to be looked after. In fact I should be outside mowing a pasture as I type but the current thunderstorm has put the kibosh on those plans. So instead I am inside working on laundry, typing this up and then diving into my next read.  It’s all about balance.  I need to dedicate a few hours each day to the never-ending chore list and then a few more hours dedicated to the never-ending to-read list.  This is often easier said than done though, and I need to take advantage of the nice or bad weather to give a little more free time to responsibility or leisure depending on the circumstances.    It will all get done though,  I just tend to stress and freak-out when I am feeling overwhelmed, and the amount of chores and reading on my plate right now has me a little overwhelmed.  So how about you?  How do you find balance for the activities you enjoy?

  1. I’m still trying to find one. No matter what I’m doing, I’m thinking of something I probably should be doing instead. I’ve tried making schedules. They last about three days!
