Welcome to another contribution to the wildly popular weekly blog meme!  This week they ask us to share:

March 17: Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List

I actually have some idea of what I plan to read over the next couple of months.  This year I’ve decided to have a different theme to each month’s reads, this month I’m catching up Read for Review books.  In April I’ll be co-hosting and participating in #ReadingMyLibrary.  I haven’t officially picked a theme for May yet, but I’m leaning towards Sci-Fi.  June is going to be my big re-read for the year, where I take a series I own and read it again,  my way of justifying all those book I own.  This year I will be re-reading the Harry Potter series if you care to join me.  I’m a pretty fast reader, most of the time, and hope to read way more than just ten books, so I’ve decided to pick…

…the ten books I’m most excited about reading in spring 2015!

  1. Earth Girl (Earth Girl, #1)  I’m reading this for #ReadingMyLibrary Challenge in April.  It has been sitting on the shelf at work for some time now just tempting me to take check it out.
  2. Blood of the Lamb: A Novel of Secrets Another #ReadingMyLibrary Challenge book.  One of my patrons read this, from my recommendation, and said it was good.  A little like Dan Brown with a paranormal twist.
  3. Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) This one and the next in the series are Net Galley books I scored to review.  I plan to get to them both this month, fingers crossed.
  4. Vampires of Manhattan (The New Blue Bloods Coven, #1) I’m excited to be reading this book for #ReadingMyLibrary Challenge. I loved the Blue Bloods series and can’t wait to see what happen in that world.
  5. The Highly Sensitive Person's Survival Guide: Essential Skills for Living Well in an Overstimulating World I recently discovered I am one of the 20% of the population that is a HSP, explains so much!  I look forward to reading this and learning more about the condition.
  6. I Am Spock  LOVE Leonard Nimoy.  Love.  So saddened by his passing and couldn’t think of a better way to remember him than to read one of his memoirs.
  7. Redshirts Since it looks like I am going with the sci-fi theme for May might as well read this one that has been on my TBR list for some time.
  8. Life, the Universe and Everything (Hitchhiker's Guide, #3) Perhaps it is time to read the next installment of this series.  I enjoyed book one and two, hopefully book three is just as good.
  9. The Martian Chronicles  I don’t remember adding this to my list, but I think it might be a good pick for May.  Has some good ratings anyways…
  10. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) So excited about my plans for June, re-reading Harry Potter.  I read this series so long ago, I wonder what my thoughts will be this time around. Wish I had reviews from my first reading.

There you have it some of the titles I hope to read this spring.  What’s on your list? Have you read one of my picks?  What did you think?

    • I used to not be a re-reader either, but then I looked at all the books I just couldn’t let go of and thought I better justify spending so much $$$ on them, not to mention the space they take up in the house. It also helps me weed the library too. If I don’t want to re-read it, then it need to find a new home. Off to visit your list!

    • It is kinda a different list isn’t it. I’ve seen Angelfall on several other lists too. I hope that means its good! The De La Cruz title is going to be my first read next month, so you shouldn’t have to wait long.

    • It is a pretty creepy cover. One of the vampire picks for this spring, can’t escape them completely. I’m looking forward to Sci-Fi month, need to cleanse the palette a bit after all the high-fantasy and romance this year so far.

  1. No wonder you mentioned being interested in Heena’s Genre Challenge! January was SF month, but December is Adventure/Fantasy. I have Frozen lined up for later this year.

Another fan of Nimoy here. I was lucky enough to see him twice. Once was a lecture and the other was when he had the lead in Fiddler on the Roof.

    • So jealous!!! I always dreamed of getting to hear Nimoy speak (Spock was one of my first crushes).

I’ve been doing my own genre challenge I think, or picking a different reading theme for each month this year. I am definitely going to check out the link you shared though. I might be able to fill in some of the holes in my calendar for this year.
