Top Ten Tuesday: New series yet to start.

Welcome to another contribution to the wildly popular Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.  This week they ask us to share: October 21: Top New Series I Want To Start (New..let’s say within the last year or two).  This one might be a challenge, most of the series I have yet to start, like Game of Thrones, have all been out for a few years.  Might have to either borrow some from other’s lists or add some new ones to my to-read shelf.  Off to see what I can find, be back in a minute….10 minutes….alright that was easier than I thought.  I guess there are plenty of new series I have yet to start.  The sad part is that there are also a lot of OLD series I have yet to start too…  Anyway, here is what I came up with.

  1. After the End (After the End #1)  After the End series by Amy Plum: This one was a book I suggested for purchase for my library’s YA section.  It looked like an interesting dystopian and I someday plan on starting it…
  2. Vampires of Manhattan (The New Blue Bloods Coven, #1) The New Blue Bloods Coven series by Melissa de la Cruz: Loved the Blue Blood series so of course I am going to read he spin-off.  Duh.
  3. Raphael/Parish (Bayou Heat, #1-2) Bayou Heat by Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright: Seems like this series that I keep avoiding has been out forever, especially since there are so many books out already.  But no, it is only two years old.  Somehow that makes me feel better about not starting it yet.
  4. The Eye of Minds (The Mortality Doctrine, #1)  The Morality Doctrine series by James Dashner: This one was another suggestion for my library’s YA Dept.  Yep I’ll get to it someday…or not.
  5. Viper (Sons of Sangue, #1) Sons of Sangue series by Patricia A. Rasey: This one has been sitting on my Nook “desktop” for ages just waiting for me to stop requesting so many Net Galley books and give it its turn. Dammit.
  6. Time Thief (Time Thief, #1) Time Thief Series by Katie MacAlister: Love this author, but somehow have not managed to start her new series.  I do have the first two books though when I decide to make time.
  7. Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer: I know, its been out forever and reviewed by everyone and their brother, but I’m going to read this eventually.  I think.
  8. The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) The Fifth Wave series by Rick Yancey: Waited so long for this one the second book has already come out.  Now I’m just waiting for our library to buy it so I can read them back to back.
  9. Splintered (Splintered, #1)  Splintered series by A.G.Howard:This was one I added to my list after reading a fellow blogger’s review.  Still plan on reading it.
  10. Immortally Yours (Monster M*A*S*H, #1)  Monster M*A*S*H series by Angie Fox: This one looked interesting, but the price for the e-book made me hesitate  I am not  familiar with this author and wasn’t sure I wanted to spend that much.

  1. I’ve had Splintered waiting on a shelf for a while. Recently I met the author at a signing, and she read a snippet that makes me want to move the book up the TBR pile. The covers are really pretty, too.
