Top Ten Tuesday: 10 characters I want with me on a deserted island.

Welcome to another contribution to the popular blog meme, Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week they ask us: Top Ten Characters I Would Want With Me On A Deserted Island (pick based on however you want…skills they would bring, their company…or pure hotness factor :P).  I’ve decided to pick characters based on their abilities to get us all off the island or survive.  Let’s get started then, here is my list…

  1. Acheron (Dark-Hunter, #8)  First up is Acheron from the Dark Hunter series.  This character is an  Atlantean god, basically omnipotent, so we are not going to be stuck on the island and Ash has a habit of pulling what ever he needs out of the back pack he carries with him.
  2. A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) Next two characters are going to be from this series.  Up first is Diana Bishop,  as the series progresses we find out just how powerful of a witch Diana is and that she can time walk.  So we might be able to leave the island that way just not end up in the same year.
  3. The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3) The next character I pick from The Discovery of Witches or All Souls trilogy is Ysabeau de Clairmont.  Ysabeau seems to get what ever she wants just by calling her endless supply of contacts on her little red phone.  People don’t tell her no she will have a fleet of ships there to rescue us in no time.
  4. The Martian  Up next I pick Mark Watney from The Martian.  If you can survive for over a year alone on Mars with no food or way to contact home then he is probably going to be able to keep us alive on earth and make a phone out of coconuts à la the professor from Gilligan’s Island.
  5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)  I’ve seen this character on many lists and she made mine too.  I pick Hermione Granger from the world of Potter.  I’d pick Harry, but Hermione’s magic seems to be more reliable.  Besides she seems to pretty resourceful and will get us off the island in no time.
  6. The Lost Gate (Mither Mages, #1) Even though I kind of lost interest in this series I would still pick Danny North from the Mither Mages series.  Danny can create a ‘gate’ between two locations, so he can create one off the island to anywhere in the world.
  7. Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse, #4) Picking Eric Northman and not just for being a pretty face,  he can fly and fly us off the island.  If he can’t fly us off he is another character that seems to get what ever he wants with one phone call…well everything except for Sookie that is…
  8. First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) Don’t know if Charley Davidson from this popular series has any special powers to keep us alive or get us off the island, but every time she is in trouble Reyes comes running and saves her, also she will keep our spirits up with her razor sharp wit.
  9. White Witch, Black Curse (The Hollows, #7) Seem to be picking a lot of witches to be with me on the island, so how about another, Rachel Morgan.  Now that she has is getting a handle on more of her demon powers she can tap a line and take us where ever we need to be.
  10. The King (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #12) Last pick is any one of the brothers from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.  Besides being serious eye candy they can demilitarize and take us all home.

    1. I loved it. I’ve been pimping the book to library patrons like crazy. I even followed my husband around the house reading parts of it until he told me to stop and he would read it.

  1. Great list!! I’ve only read two but I think they are great choices Charley & Rachel. I kind of wish I wish I’d picked a witch for my list. I was more worried about zombies lol. Thanks for sharing your list this week. Have a great week and happy reading! My TTT

    1. I had trouble coming up with other characters besides witches. Didn’t think I would want too many vamps on an island with nothing else to eat but my blood…
