April Reading Goals…starting a little early

Well I totally blew my March reading plan of only new authors, kinda.  I did mainly read new to me authors, but I got sucked into several series and didn’t stick to only one book by any one author.  I have also discovered Net Galley and have requested perhaps more books to review than I should have… tad over optimistic and now I am playing catch up.  No more requesting books till I am caught up.  I mean it.  Alright only if a title is too tempting to resist.  I have no willpower…

So here we are April begins on Tuesday and with it comes the release of ‘The King’ by J.R. Ward.  The book will be mine!  Husband has been instructed to stop on his way home from work and pick it up.  One minor problem is there are 3 1/2 books I really should read before I start ‘The King’, and only 4 days in which to read them.  Challenge accepted (channeling my best Barney Stinson impression).  It will mean nothing else gets done and lots of late night read, but I will try to get these books read by Tuesday evening so I can start ‘The King’  on release day.

Alright now to my April reading goals.  April is Library month, Library week is April 13-19th, so I should spend the month reading only library books.  One problem is my to-read list has become backed up with all the Net Galley books I need to read and then review.  So this month I have come up with a list of 17 titles, listed below, that I will try to get through this month and then in May I will try a month of only reading books I borrow from the library.  Sound good.

April’s Reading List (started in March)

Viper by Patricia A. Rasey : Urban Paranormal, Vamps

Prince of Wolves by Susan Krinard : Paranormal, werewolves

Blood Born by Linda Howard : Paranormal, Vamps

If I get through all these I will start pulling titles from my Nook or to-read bookcase, but the books listed above are the one I will read first.  Have you read any of these titles?  What did you think?

    1. It has been sitting on my Nook for ages, free download In think. Was in the mood for scifi the other day and came across it. Seems to have good reviews.

      1. I bought it after reading some good reviews. I needed to buy another book like I need a whole in my head. The reduced price of e-books is a blessing but now I fear I’m turning into some kind of data hoarder.
