Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

toptentuesday2

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish.

Go check them out!

So far much of my reading selections this year have revolved around clean up the physical to-be-read bookcase in my bed room.  It was either read some of the books or get a bigger bookcase… I have also worked on cleaning up the unread books on my Nook and Kindle.  Of course many of these are series and when I find one I enjoy I then have to scramble to get the next books that are available, thank goodness I’m a librarian ;).  SO, anyway my selections for this list are going to be upcoming books from favorite authors that are soon to be or have recently been published.

The Top 10 Books on my Spring TBR List:

  1. The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness (All Souls Trilogy #3) :  This is my favorite series, and I have mentioned and time or three how I am looking forward to the next and last book in the series.  That just happens to be released two days before my birthday (I know what I’m getting).
  2. The King by J.R. Ward ( Black Dagger Brotherhood #12): This is one of my favorite series and I am looking forward to Beth and Wrath having a book centered around themselves again.
  3. Vampire Most Wanted by Lynsay Sands (Argeneau #20):  This series is probably considered chick-lit or paranormal romance.  I just bought this one the other day as this author is on my auto buy list.  Someday I will get around to rereading this long series.
  4. How to Seduce a Vamprie (Without Really Trying) by Kerrelyn Sparks (Love at Stake #15):  This series is very similar to #3 in style of writing and is also on my auto buy list.  These are light tales that do not take themselves seriously.  Perfect for reading on a beach someplace…now to find a beach in Iowa…
  5. Illusion by Sherrilyn Kenyon (Chronicles of Nick #5):  This is a YA series that is a spin off of Kenyon’s Dark Hunter world.  Someday this series is going to work up to the main character, Nick< getting his own Dark Hunter book,  I can’t wait!
  6. Son of No One by Sherrilyn Kenyon ( Hellchaser #6, Dark Hunter #23):  (Not going to be the last Kenyon book on this list)  I reread this series last year for the release of Styxx.  Took me three months, there are a lot of books people.  Not going to be doing that again for a while, but my memory should be fresh enough, still, by the time this book comes out to make it even more enjoyable.  I wonder where Kenyon is going to take this series next.
  7. Born of Fury by yes, Sherrilyn Kenyon, again (The League #7):  I have yet to find that I Love Sherrilyn Kenyon bumper sticker, but I’m looking…  This is her less well know science fiction series.  It is just as good as the Dark Hunter world, which if you enjoy one I suggest you try the other.
  8. The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison (The Hollows #12):  I had heard this series is coming to an end in the next book but am unable to confirm that as of this post, cause I don’t want to take the time to dig on the internet right now or visit the author’s website.  Anyway,  I look forward to seeing how Harrison wraps this one up.  I almost gave up on the series a few books back, but was sucked back in, perhaps it is best to end on a good note rather than drag things out.  I do hope Rachel finds some happiness though.
  9. Books 2-5 of the Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones:  I’m counting these as one book because I plan on binge reading the entire series which is conveniently located at a library I belong to.
  10. A Touch of Crimson by Sylvia Day (Renegade Angels #1):  Alright I know this isn’t a new release,  but I have only recently read the barred to you series and discovered Ms. Day’s writing.

So here is my contribution to this week’s list.  I look forward to checking all of your out.  Have you read any of these books?  Are they on your TBR list as well?

  1. When I say I cannot wait for The Book of Life to come out, I mean it! I LOVE this series SO much! It’s just amazing how Deborah Harkness is able to tell Diana’s story! I love it! I might have to re-read the last two before this one comes out!!!!

  2. Oh I am SOOO looking forward to The Book of Life coming out!! I have to say, I listened to the other books on audio, and the person reading did such an amazing job at bringing the characters to life for me. I haven’t decided yet if I want to actually read this one, or just listen to it as I have the first two.
